This face oil helps reduce visible signs of ageing, owing its power to 28% stabilised Vitamin E and our breakthrough ingredient, Phytomelatonin. Extracted from Italian Alpine plants in a patented process developed by our Scientific Director, Dr. Francesca Ferri, Phytomelatonin is at the heart of this performance-driven anti-ageing face oil. The plant version of human melatonin, Phytomelatonin is shown to rejuvenate the skin by boosting skin renewal; it is also a potent antioxidant that combats the ageing effect of free radicals. A revitalising blend of omega-rich oils, including Sicilian Pistachio Oil, replenishes, hydrates and protects.

PHYTOMELATONIN
Hormones can have a wide variety of profound effects on the skin. Oestrogen, progesterone and the androgens have for example been shown to regulate the condition of the skin via multiple mechanisms that can address skin degradation, wrinkles and dryness, and stimulate the development of new skin cells. Phytomelatonin has been shown to have very similar effects in laboratory trials.

A wax ester that moisturises the skin, as well as making it soft and supple.
CALENDULA FLOWER
An antioxidant rich in Terpenoids, Carotenoids, Flavonoids and Volatile oils. They are also soothing, hydrating and help to reduce the visible signs of ageing.

RESEARCH SHOWS PHYTOMELATONIN PROMOTES SKIN VITALITY & COUNTERACTS SIGNS OF AGEING
A major finding in Dr. Ferri's work with her colleagues at the University of Calabria, published in 2019, was that Phytomelatonin can triple the vitality of skin cells in the laboratory. Beyond this increase in cell viability, the research team also observed that Phytomelatonin can promote cellular changes that occur in the course of skin regeneration.
